So it looks like the roadmap is going to be delivered, as if handed down on stone tablets from high atop the mountain, to the press and other VIPs on March 6th. Speculation, educated guesses, rumor, and outright fiction abound in response.
Most people, however, are tempering their speculations with a few shakes of common sense and some sprinkles from the pragmatism shaker. If it is indeed just the roadmap that will be delivered, then I might agree with the people who are saying that the SDK will be delivered in Beta 1 format on March 6th and will be headed to "release" sometime during or around the WWDC which typically occurs every year in June.
I think it would be foolish to assume that the SDK would become public release and not a beta without ever having been in the hands of a single developer at large. It makes a LOT of sense that there would be a beta program where developers could not only test the development environment and build their applications, but Apple could test the security, reliability, and scalability of the system. I'm sure they'll need to make sure that whatever system they're delivering is one that won't become completely overwhelmed and non-functional once tens of thousands of developers start making iPhone applications.
So..the wait until March 6th begins. The only thing that makes this wait more tolerable is the fact that my Macbook Air has finally arrived! (photos will be published soon...)
When did you decide to go for the Air. I know you had tried one but I
thought you were leaning towards a power-house laptop?
I sat down and analyzed my needs. I needed a second computer that was more
portable than the 17" MBP so that I could take it with me on planes and on
the train and the occasional coffee shop. For that, the Macbook air is the
perfect second computer. It is powerful enough to do what I need done on
the train and while I'm on the go, and synchronization through iDisk and
.Mac makes it a snap to move my code from the Air to the 17" MBP when I'm
at home.
Im sorry to trouble you,but I want to konw where I can download the codes
of the book "Visual C# 2005 Unleashed".
If someone can help me ,please send me an Email!!
Thank you!!
