My Book is now in the Microsoft Company Store in Redmond

posted Thu 29 Nov 07

I've just been informed that, I believe for the first time in its history, the MS Company Store on the Redmond campus is now carrying books published by companies other than MS Press. In addition, I've also been informed that the book that Rob Foster and I wrote, SharePoint 2007 Development Unleashed, is among the titles being offered in the store.

So, if you're an MS employee, or you plan on visiting the company store anytime soon, drop by the store and pick up a copy of the book. I think we need to sell about 30,000 more copies for me to be able to afford a Happy Meal from the royalties, so buy 2, heck, buy 10!

:)

I've been reading your blog for awhile now (Actually have an RSS Feed setup on my MySite)... And I've had your book for a few months now, and had not put 2 and 2 together! I had no idea the posts I was reading were actually the same guy who wrote the book I have kept my nose in! Kinda sums up the life of a Sharepoint developer... It's a bit of tunnel vision... Anyway... GREAT book! It's helped me out MANY times. Easy read, but technical enough to get me through some tough spots... And obviously, I'm a fan of the blog!

Thanks for the compliment! Glad you like the blog, and the book. The SharePoint book in particular took a lot of hard work because it takes a lot of effort to take what little documentation there was on the various SDKs and turn them into samples small enough to fit in a book but useful enough to be of practical interest to developers. Glad you found it helpful!
