I would like to take this moment to bore you to tears with some nostalgic waxing about the good old days when this blog was first started :) Ok, so it wasn't that long ago, but a lot can happen in three years. When I first started this blog, WPF was still codenamed Avalon and hadn't even been shown to anybody outside Microsoft. Visual Studio 2005 wasn't released yet, everybody was using Visual Studio 2003... which seems pretty archaic now.
The big hip and trendy thing back in the days was Web Services. Back in January 2005 I was writing blog entries plugging my book, Visual C# 2003 Unleashed. The archives for my blog software don't even go back as far as the first entry I ever wrote... one of the first ones that I can remember writing was a demo where I illustrated how to use the IPC channel in Remoting for a real-world example.
Ah, those were the good old days... Back then, I figured I was lucky if any given blog entry got more than 10 hits in a month :)
I just want to take this moment of reflection to thank everybody for reading my blog. The people who read this blog and the folks who comment on my posts are some of the coolest, most intelligent people I've seen online and I'm honored that you folks have decided to keep reading my drivel....er...blog posts.
